This week has been incredible and a life-changing experience for me. I believe that this month of prayer and fasting marks a new LIFESTYLE of prayer for many of us.
I've been using the daily prayer calendar, and God had been speaking to me through His Word. As I was asking Him to fill me today with passion for a broken world (Zechariah 8:2), the thought came that ONLY GOD can get to the heart of the matter. Only He can bring life where there was death, or light where there was darkness, or hope where there seemed to be no way out. Only God knows exactly what the issue is, and exactly how to get to the person to fix it...our part is to pray and give Him access and the freedom to do it.
Let's kick it up a notch in our fasting and prayer this week. Last week we prepared our hearts to pray. This week our focus is on the lost. God's will is that NONE should perish, but that ALL would know Jesus and experience real and eternal life. No limits, we serve a mighty God!

Wow, I just prayed for the lost who have a bad father image. God spoke to me. I did not have a good father image growing up; one was absent most of my life and another who was abusive. I was reminded that it was God my FATHER who brought me through that time not only to heal me but to show me what a perfect Father is. In the beginning of my journey I always expected that my God would let me down (as most fathers do at some point) but now, I put all my expectations in Him! Not only do I know that He has never let me down, I know that He never will...
ReplyDeleteWhile praying, I ask what should I pray over CAML this month? He said Clean, pray that each member be clean spitit, mind , Motive heart and body and wash my church, The Church At Mirror Lake with the Word this month .
ReplyDeleteThis week my prayer is for the next generation, as they go back to school this week, find the lost and show the love of Jesus to them!

ReplyDeleteMy prayers this week have been specifically for those who have a spouse who is not saved. I have been led to pray for the saved spouse to be strong in their convictions, and for the lost spouse to see the changes. God has really put it on my heart that the time for restoring these relationships is at hand.
ReplyDeleteGod has been leading me this week to pray specifically for those who have lost hope in their lives. He had me start out by just asking Him to open my eyes to these people in my world. It's been heart-breaking and I think that's what He wanted for me. To be moved with compassion for the hopeless and broken. I've been focusing my prayers that we, individually and as a church, would be a safe place of healing for these people. I know God is getting ready to do something great! Rock on all you CAML prayer peeps! (hehehehe)
ReplyDeleteYes, I too pray over the brushing of teeth. Spit it! Spit it!
ReplyDeleteI think God is asking me to kick it up a notch by fasting our CAML staff picture game. I am consumed with an addiction and a competitive SPITIT. I cannot function on these days...Please help...Abi needs an intervention.
ReplyDeleteFor real though...
MAN, I don't know about you but I am beginning to notice the harvest coming in all around us. Several people that I've been talking to for months and praying for have all of a sudden started to ask the right questions and doors are beginning to open. He is so faithful to His Word...."when my children will humble themselves and pray, I will touch and heal their land."
GO JESUS and GO CAML PEEPS!!!
In my time of prayer God has lead me to pray for those suffering with addictions. I believe that there is a 'root' to every 'fruit'. The root of the problem is brokenness. I'm praying for restoration and healing.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to that I was able to break personal barriers in my community and extend to those in need. Thanks so much to C@ML for being a life-giving church.
In my prayer, I am allowing myself to feel pain for others. I am also praying for those with broken lives and improper foundational building, so that their "temple" wobbles in the winds of the storm, not strong like our fortiied circus tent! I am gleening much from the book of Nehemiah in the rebuilding of the wall and the determination to overcome intimidation. That directs my prayers for the "lost in the house", those who grew up knowing Jesus, but whose foundation was improperly built by dysfunctional parenting and life tragedies and inappropriate counsel.
ReplyDeleteIt is great to see the many facets of prayer on one request God is giving to the team at Caml!
