Praying for the Next Generation - Don't Take it Lightly

A couple of weeks ago I had an unusual experience that directed my attention strongly to the next generation. As a result, I began to pray and God reminded me of King Josiah & other young kings of the Bible that turned their nation back to God, even though the kings and government before them were extremely corrupt. I began praying that the next generation of America will be the one to turn our nation back to God; that they'll recognize our ungodliness, repent, and be the voice of restoration.

Today as I was praying, I saw young people moving forward like an army, strong, relentless, no fear, taking territory for the kingdom of God, expanding as they went. And to make it even better, I saw our own children leading the way...glory to God!

Please don't take this final week of prayer for the next generation lightly; God is doing something big...really big.

  1. As I have been praying for the next generation, I've focused some of my prayer on fathers. I'm praying for dad's to take their place, stand firm and finish well. Father, thank you for Godly moms and dads who's faithfulness to you provides a launching pad for next generation.

  2. God has directed my focus for the next generation to their creativity. I'm praying that this next generation would tap into all the creativity God has placed in them and rock the world through the local church!

  3. I have been impressed to pray especially for the Church worldwide to receive the gifts and talents of the next generation. 12 not 21 has been ringing in my ears--we don't want them to wait to serve Jesus and we as leaders must be ready to embrace them, remembering they are kids and may not be as mature in their faith and commitment as some would expect. I pray that leaders will see them as opportunities to invest in a whole new realm of leaders.
